Gibson and Nugent helped Middlesbrough to seal promotion to Premier League !
After seven seasons out of the top-flight, Middlesbrough clinched a return to the Premier League as they have finished 2nd of the Championship. In the Boro squad, we found two players who took part in the Toulon Tournament in the past : the defender Ben Gibson (Toulon Tournament 2014) and the forward David Nugent (Toulon Tournament 2005). Both of them helped the Championship side to clinch this promotion as Gibson played 33 league games (1 goal) while Nugent took part in 38 league games (8 goals).
