Olympics 2016 : Colombia, USA draw in the qualifying playoff first leg
Colombia and USA have to play a home-and-away series to try to grab a ticket for the Rio Olympics 2016. The first leg was played on this Friday night in Colombia and the two teams played out a 1-1 draw.
USA took the lead through Luis Gil after 5 minutes. Then, the Americans had the opportunity to double the lead after the hour mark but the Jordan Morris’ attempt hit the crossbar. Finally, Juan Fernando Quintero equalized for Colombia thanks to a penalty at the 68th minute.
The second leg will be played on March 29 in United States. It should be noted that the winner of this playoff will take part in the Toulon Tournament 2016 !
