Matarrita ready to make the step up with New York City FC
Ronald Matarrita, who took part in the 2015 Toulon Tournament, is currently living a dream. The rise of the Costa Rican left full-back has been meteoric over the last months. Firstly, the 21-year-old has made his first appearance with the Costa Rica senior national team on September 2015 against Brazil. Then, the Costa Rica international (6 caps) has joined New York City FC from LD Alajuelense on January.
Thanks to this transfer, Matarrita will discover the Major League Soccer and will have the opportunity to play alongside famous players like David Villa, Andrea Pirlo and Frank Lampard. We bet that Matarrita is excited to make his MLS debut on March 6 against the Chicago Fire !
