Gary Medel, runner-up of the 2008 Toulon Tournament, established himself as one of the key players of the Inter Milan over the last few months. The 2015 Copa America winner has already 22 games in all competitions this season with the Nerazzurri. The Chilen midfielder has also been appointed as the captain of his team for some games during played this current campaign.

His workrate and his ability to recovering possession allowed him to earn praises from his coach Roberto Mancini. He told the Gazzetta Dello Sport "If we all had as much heart as he does then we would win every match. Ideally I would like to have 24 players like Medel and Leo  Messi." Medel deserves his nickname of "Pitbull" !
