Joel Pereira continues his development at Belenenses
Joel Pereira has impressed the observers during the Toulon Tournament 2016 as he was won the best goalkeeper award. Few months later, the 20-year-old Portuguese goalkeeper has confirmed his good form.
Loaned out by Manchester United to Belenenses, Pereira is gaining some valuable first-team experience. The Portugal U21 international has played 8 league games this season and has registered 3 clean sheets.
While he is yet to make a first-team appearance with Manchester United, Pereira is shining with Belenenses. His promising performances in the Portuguese top flight can allow him to come back stronger to Manchester United. Unless, another team offers him regular first-team football : according to reports in Portugal, Benfica are eyeing a move for the young goalkeeper…
