Salvatore Bocchetti clinched the Russian League title with Spartak Moscow
After several years of waiting, Salvatore Bocchetti has eventually clinched the Russian League title with Spartak Moscow on this week-end. The Muscovites are officially champions as they boast an insurmountable ten-point lead over Zenit Saint-Petersburg with 3 games remaining.
This is the first league title earned by Spartak Moscow since 2001 ! The 30-year old Italian defender helped his side to finish champion as he played 12 games and scored 1 goal during this current campaign.
Winner of the Toulon Tournament 2008, the Italia international (5 caps) has notably played for Genoa, Rubin Kazan and AC Milan during his career.
