England clinch third win in a row as they beat Japan
Already qualified for the semi-finals, England have beaten Japan 2-1 thanks to two penalties.
With only two points taken on six possible, Japan were under pressure and had to win against England in order to keep their chances alive in the competition. Masanaga Kageyama's men put this pressure on their opponents today. The first minutes were dominated by Japan. They created themselves a lot of opportunities but unfortunately for them, they didn't find the net. The Asian side will regret this lack of efficiency as the Young Three Lions netted the opening goals. Kemp earned a penalty and Hirst (26') gave the advantage to England.
In the second half, Japan continued to put pressure on their opponents and thanks to Ando (53'), they eventually scored and got their efforts rewarded. The Japanese players tried to add another goal but England hae ended the Japan's hopes as Taylor-Crossdale converted a penalty in the last minutes. The Toulon Tournament is already over for Japan...
