After he scored a hat-trick against Cuba (5-1) and became the top scorer of the Tournament, Chico Banza expressed his happiness :
"It was a wonderful game because we scored five goals. We are obviously happy about this but we must continue our work. I want also to send my congratulations to my teammates and I'm proud with this hat-trick and because I'm the top scorer of the Tournament. It's a great opportunity for me.
I'm very happy with finishing second above Japan because we worked a lot to get this result.
The Angolan football and the football practiced here is very different, the European players play at a higher level than us. Tactically, they are also better than our team and that's the big difference with football in Angola."
Everything is possible, maybe we depend too much of the results of the others teams to go to the next round. But I'm satisfied of what my players did.
Chico Banza ? He's a good forward but he depends a lot of his confidence and he lost it during the preparation. So, I paid a particular attention to remotivate himself and he found it again. That was important because he brought us a point against Japan and played tremendously today against Cuba".
