Alisson Euler and his childhood club Cruzeiro continue to chase major trophies ! After clinching two Brazilian league titles (in 2013 and 2014) with the Belo Horizonte-based club, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder has won a new trophy on this week.
After clinching a 1-1 draw in the first leg, Cruzeiro won the Brazilian Cup on this Thursday as they have beaten Flamengo on penalties (5-3) following a goalless second leg.
The Brazilian winger helped his side to claim the trophy as he played 14 games in this competition this season. He has notably distinguished himself during the quarter finals against Palmeiras. Alisson has found the net in the first leg (3-3) and has also delivered an assist in the last minutes of the second leg (1-1).
The Toulon Tournament 2014 winner, who is producing one of the best seasons of his career (he has beaten his assist record for a single season on July), has recently extended his contract with Cruzeiro until June 2021.
