Omar Alderete accelerates his development in the Superliga Argentina
Over the last months, the Argentinian clubs have splashed out on several Paraguayans who played the Toulon Tournament 2016 ! Like Rodi Ferreira as well as Mathias Villasanti, the defender Omar Alderete has decided to leave this summer his native country to join the Superliga Argentina as he signed for Gimnasia La Plata.
It wasn’t an easy decision for the 20-year-old player who only racked up around 20 appearances at the professional level with his former club Cerro Porteno. Despite his inexperience, Alderete has adapted quickly to the Superliga Argentina as he started the 10 league games played by Gimnasia La Plata this season so far.
Alderete will have the opportunity to develop quickly in the Superliga Argentina which has some particularities : the first one is that 28 clubs are featuring in the Argentinian top-flight this season. Also, the Superliga Argentina offers a qualifying spot for a continental competition to the top eleven teams at the end of the season.
It means that Alderete will play many decisive games during the next months !
