Daniel Kinumbe (Canada defender) : « We defied the odds »
Canada took the lead of the group C after beating Turkey (1-0) on this Wednesday. The Montreal Impact left-back Daniel Kinumbe reflects on the performance made by the Canadians.
“We defied the odds. We came here with different expectations compare to the other participating teams. We were at the level required today and hopefully we won the game.
Our main asset is the team spirit. It helps us to move forward in this competition. This my first international tournament and we see that the level is high. The Maurice Revello Tournament is interesting in terms of experience. We have the opportunity to face some good opponents and this is cool to play this kind of game.”
