Despite the heavy loss of Qatar against England (4-0). Bruno Pinheiro was satisfied with his players.
"I am very proud of the team. We did a very good first half. We played as we planned, being the highest possible on the pitch. We didn't want to spend all the game defending. England would surely push us and they did on the second half.
Physically, we cracked. The score is logical. They deserve to win and to net four goals.
Play as high against England is a risk for the game but not for our process. We didn't come here to win the tournament but to improve our way to play. We will play like that against Asian teams.
I think England can go further than Mexico in this competition. Mexico have much talent, determination. England possess a lot of abilities.
We offered three goals to the opponent. But when you don't breathe and you're not physically OK, it's normal... The brain struggles to think and the body can't execute the right things.
I think we improved defensively. Regarding our offensive playing, it's more complicated because we face very good teams. I don't have the real idea of what we can still do on this point."
