OFFICIAL : Japan will compete in the Maurice Revello Tournament 2019
The Maurice Revello Tournament 2019 will be held in Provence from June 1 to June 15. The twelve participating teams will be divided into three four-team groups. The three top teams of each group as well as the best second placed team (of all the groups) will advance to the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the other teams will play another game to determine their final ranking in the competition.
We are delighted to announce that Japan will be among the participants of the 47th edition of the Maurice Revello Tournament. It will be the 14th appearance of the Samuraï Blue in the competition. The Japanese national team will come in the south of France in order to prepare the Olympic Games 2020 held in Tokyo.

A number of famous Japan internationals took part in the Maurice Revello Tournament in the past. For example, Shinji Okazaki, Keisuke Honda and Maya Yoshida all played the competition in 2008 while Makoto Hasebe took part in the 31st edition organized in 2003.
As a reminder, except Japan, Ireland, England, Mexico, Qatar, Guatemala, Chile and Portugal have also confirmed their participation to the upcoming edition.
