U21 Euro : Trincao, Eze, Nmecha... to the Quest of the Grail !
The U21 European Championship, most commonly known as U21 Euro, will be held this year in a new format. Who will succeed to the title holders Spain ?
A special edition for a special year ! For the first time ever, the U21 Euro will feature 16 teams. Another novelty : the group phase will be played from 24 to 31 March, then the eight teams qualified for the next round will take part in the knockout stage from 31 May to 6 June, that’s to say two months of waiting.
Contrary to the previous edition, won in 2019 by Spain, this U21 Euro will not serve as a qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games. However, the motivation for the players will be to follow in the footsteps of their famous predecessors : Daniele De Rossi, Mesut Özil, Thiago Alcantara as well as Serge Gnabry, all of them won the U21 Euro since the beginning of this century.

Group A : Hungary, Germany, Romania, Netherlands
Group B : Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, Italy
Group C : Russia, Iceland, France, Denmark
Group D : Portugal, Croatia, England, Switzerland

27 young talents seen at the Maurice Revello Tournament
Every senior or youth international competition is the opportunity to see players that we saw few years ago at the Maurice Revello Tournament. This is of the course the case of the U21 Euro as 27 young talents seen at the Tournament will take part in the European championship.

Several talents who played the Maurice Revello Tournament will be under scrutiny during the U21 Euro : we think about Trincao, who has been signed by FC Barcelona few months ago and made his senior international debut with Portugal. We can also talk about his fellow countryman Vitor Ferreira aka “Vitinha”, who has been named Revelation of the Maurice Revello Tournament in 2019.
The observers will also keep a close eye on Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace) while Lukas Nmecha (Anderlecht) will try to repeat the performances made in the Belgian top-flight under the Germany shirt.
