The 2025 winter mercato has been very active all over the world. A number of players who passed through the Sud Ladies Cup have been involved in the various transactions registered in recent weeks. Here's the full recap.
A historic transfer. By securing the services of American defender Naomi Girma for over a million euros, Chelsea have set a new record in women's football. The player who won the 2018 Sud Ladies Cup has become the most expensive women footballer in history and the first to be transferred for a sum in excess of one million euros. The American international and 2024 Olympic champion will be discovering European football and the Premier League at the age of 24.

After taking part in the Sud Ladies Cup in 2024 while still playing for Waseda University, Aemu Oyama is taking off for Europe. The Japanese midfielder, aged just 20, has joined Manchester City, with whom she has signed a contract that runs until 2027.

After just five months with FC Nantes, Kelly Gago is heading for England. The 25-year-old striker will now play for Everton, where she already seems perfectly acclimatised. In just two matches, the French international, who played in the Sud Ladies Cup in 2018, has already scored three goals and picked up a player of the match award. That's what we call an express adaptation.
