De Almeida, Mauleon, Chavas… the Sud Ladies Cup graduates animate the transfer market !

While the start of the 2021-2022 campaign is fast approaching, the traditional summer transfer window is in full swing. Many deals sealed recently have involved players seen at the Sud Ladies Cup previously.

Elisa De Almeida (Paris Saint-Germain)

2021 is definitely a year to remember for the 23-year-old defender. The France international (10 caps) cemented her place in the national team over the last months and she has joined recently the newly-crowned French champions Paris Saint-Germain. With the Paris-based club, the former Monpellier player will discover the Champions League next season. What an astonishing rise since her participation at the Sud Ladies Cup 2018

Jana Feldkamp and Sarai Linder (Hoffenheim)

After taking part in 120 Frauen Bundesliga games with SGS Essen, Feldkamp has decided to join one of the top clubs in Germany : Hoffenheim, a club that finished third in the Bundesliga during the last two seasons.

The Germany international (4 caps) will be reunited with another new signing seen previously at the Sud Ladies Cup 2018 :  Sarai Linder. It’s a homecoming for the 21-year-old defender who began her career at Hoffenheim before moving to NCAA side UCF Knights.

Janina Leitzig (Bayern Munich)

With Hoffenheim, the 22-year-old goalkeeper started with the reserve team before making the step up to the senior team. Her performances in the Frauen Bundesliga caught the eye of Bayern Munich as the newly-crowned German champions decided to sign her.

Natalia Mauleon (Club America)

Despite her young age, the 19-year-old forward established herself as a key player for Toluca, scoring 33 goals in the Liga MX Femenil. Inevitably, her performances attracted interest from other clubs and this is eventually at Club America, one of the most popular clubs in Mexico, where the promising Mexican youngster will continue her career.

Mylène Chavas (Bordeaux)

Early in the 2021 year, the 23-year-old goalkeeper has been called up to the France senior squad for the first time ever, rewarding her good performances in the French top flight under the Dijon shirt. In order to continue her development, the Sud Ladies Cup 2018 best goalkeeper decided to join one of the top teams in the country : Bordeaux, third in the D1 Arkema last season. With her new club, Chavas will have the opportunity to play the Champions League.

Lisa Martinez (Soyaux)

Since her participation at the Sud Ladies Cup 2019, the 21-year-old defender played regular first-team football by moving to Glasgow Rangers (Scotland) and then returning in France under the FC Metz shirt. Over the last days, Martinez joined ASJ Soyaux as she’s aiming to play in the French top-flight.

Wendy Toledo (Toluca)

After becoming the first ever Santos Laguna player to be selected in the Mexico senior team early in the year, the 20-year-old goalkeeper will continue her career at Toluca.
