In the final of the 49th edition of the Maurice Revello Tournament, Panama thrashed Mexico (4-1) to take the trophy, in a match generally dominated by La Marea Roja. Read on for post-match reactions.

Jorge DELY VALDES (Panama coach):

"A goal changes the course of a match, but it should never be an excuse for losing. We weren't able to respond to the first goal we conceded, so we mustn't make excuses.

"There are two things to remember: it's a tournament that has allowed players to grow, learn a lot and gain experience. We have to congratulate Panama on their performance today, they played a very good game, they're a very fine team."

"In a football tournament, there are a lot of different situations, and we weren't able to take advantage of the moments that were to our advantage. There were times when we could have taken the lead in this match.

This tournament allows us to move forward and learn. To win the tournament in the future, we'll need that little something that we've lacked in recent years."

Ricardo Phillips:

"It's a dream for me and my team. The Maurice Revello Tournament is a great competition in the world. During this competition, we worked tirelessly because we knew we were going to face some very tough teams.

This final is the fruit of our hard work.

With hard work, anything is possible, so we knew we could compete with a lot of teams."
