Garnacho, Eze, Buonanotte… The Maurice Revello Tournament graduates burst onto the international scene

Each international break is the opportunity for several players who took part in the Maurice Revello Tournament to make their international debut. Over the last days, some of them earned their first international cap.

Alejandro Garnacho (Argentina)

Named Revelation of the Maurice Revello Tournament in 2022, the 18-year-old attacking midfielder has then enjoyed his first complete season with Manchester United (33 games played in all competitions, 5 goals). His 2022-2023 season ended on a high note as Garnacho made his international debut this month with the Albiceleste against Australia (2-0)

Eberechi Eze (England)

After being impacted by an injury last season, the Crystal Palace attacking midfielder has impressed in the Premier League during this campaign (10 goals and 4 assists in 38 games). His performances with his club have been rewarded this month by a first international appearance with the Three Lions during the Euro 2024 qualifier against Malta (4-0)

Facundo Buonanotte (Argentina)

The 2023 year is already an unforgettable one for the 18-year-old Argentinian. Signed by Brighton this winter, Bunoanotte has discovered the Premier League with the Seagulls. His astonishing rise continued this month as made his senior debut with Argentina. He was handed his first international appearance with the Albiceleste during a friendly against Indonesia (2-0).

Andres Salazar (Colombia)

The very promising 2003 Colombian generation, semi-finalist of the Maurice Revello Tournament 2022, is composed of several players who boast the potential to reach the Colombia senior team in the future. This month, Salazar has shown the way as he made his international debut with Los Cafeteros during a friendly against Iraq (1-0).

Jon Aramburu (Venezuela)

One week after a playing a thrilling game against France in the Maurice Revello Tournament 2023, the 20-year-old defender went to the Connecticut in United States to make his international debut with the Venezuela senior team ! Arambaru played the whole game against Guatemala (1-0) and helped La Vinotinto to keep a clean sheet in this friendly. Not bad for a first appearance !

Jonathan Bamba (Ivory Coast)

Runner-up of the Maurice Revello Tournament 2016 with France, the 27-year-old forward made his international debut this month with… Ivory Coast ! The LOSC player has been included in the starting line-up for the 2024 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Zambia (0-3).
