The 2025 summer transfer window has now closed in most leagues around the world. Many players who once took part in the Maurice Revello Tournament were involved in transfers across the globe this summer. Here’s a recap.

Liverpool splash the cash for Hugo Ekitiké

It was one of the sagas of the summer: at 23, Hugo Ekitiké left Eintracht Frankfurt to join Liverpool. The Reds paid a hefty €90 million to secure the services of the Tournoi Maurice Revello 2022 winner. It has been quite a summer for Ekitiké, who also earned his first-ever call-up to the French national team.

Lucas Chevalier, new keeper for the European champions

Another high-profile move involved French goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, who joined Paris Saint-Germain. The reigning Champions League winners spent €55 million, bonuses included, to make Chevalier their new starting goalkeeper. Having featured in the Tournoi Maurice Revello 2019, Chevalier is expected to guard PSG’s goal for the long term.

For their part, the two Manchester clubs also targeted players who featured in the Tournoi Maurice Revello 2019 : Manchester United spent €75 million to sign Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha (26), while Manchester City secured his Wolves teammate, Algerian international Rayan Aït-Nouri, in a €50 million deal

Bundesliga bound for Ben Seghir, David heads to Serie A

Several young talents who shone at the Maurice Revello Tournament also made moves across Europe. Chelsea landed the Argentine duo of Alejandro Garnacho and Facundo Buonanotte, both seen at the Tournoi 2022.
In Germany, Bayer Leverkusen completed a late move for Eliesse Ben Seghir, voted best player at the 2023 Maurice Revello Tournament.

Italy was another hotspot for former tournament participants. Inter Milan brought in French prospects Andy Diouf and Ange-Yoan Bonny, both part of the Tournoi Maurice Revello 2024.

Meanwhile, AC Milan added French international Adrien Rabiot, while Juventus secured Jonathan David to lead their attack.
