The second matchday of the Maurice Revello Tournament took place today at Parc des Sports in Avignon, featuring intense clashes in Group A.

Panama vs Saudi Arabia (1–2):
Saudi Arabia claimed a crucial 2–1 away victory against Panama, despite playing with ten men for nearly half of the match. The Saudis opened the scoring at 35′ via a precise header from Abdulaziz Al Othman after a slick cross from Al Elewai. Panama responded just before half-time when Oldemar Castillo converted a well-struck free-kick. Early in the second half, rookie Abdullah Radif restored Saudi Arabia’s lead by chipping the goalkeeper despite heavy pressure. Panama pushed forward, but their equalizer was disallowed for offside, and the match ended in a hard-earned Saudi triumph. With this result, Saudi Arabia levels Panama on three points and keeps its qualification hopes alive ahead of the final group-stage fixtures

France vs Mali (1–1, 4–5 on penalties):
In a highly competitive affair, France and Mali played out a 1–1 draw under sweltering conditions. Mali opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Diakité, only for France’s Gomis to level with a fine finish in the 38th minute. Despite French possession, Mali remained dangerous on the break. Neither side managed to find a winner in regulation, leading to penalties. Mali edged the shootout 5–4, claiming the bonus point and handing France their first setback in Group A. France still tops the group standings but will need a strong performance against Panama in their next match, while Mali prepares to face Saudi Arabia
