Cape Verde – Togo : a successful co-hosting for the Maurice Revello Tournament
Over the last decades, the “Festival International Espoirs – Maurice Revello Tournament” proves its ability to organize annually international tournaments featuring national teams from all around the world. Through our men’s tournament, the Maurice Revello Tournament, and through our women’s competition, the Sud Ladies Cup, launched in 2018.
In 2017, the Festival International Espoirs staff members have decided to take up a challenge : organize friendlies featuring senior national teams. We have started with Gabon-Benin.
We renewed the experience on this Thursday with the game Cape Verde-Togo co-hosted in association with MC Sport at the Stade Parsemain (Fos-sur-Mer).

Togo took the lead thanks to Hoffenheim forward Ilhas Bebou after 20 minutes but Cape Verde came from behind and eventually claimed the win thanks to goals in second half from Porto striker Ze Luis and AS Nancy-Lorraine in-form player Vagner Goncalves.
We would like to thank all the people involved in the organization of this game and notably the young girls of the Miramas football club who have officiated as standard-bearers and ball girls.
